NEW Olympic Resource for Primary Languages Teachers |

In the year of the 2008 Beijing Games and the International Year of Languages, the Modern Languages Teachers’ Association of Victoria (MLTAV) has partnered with the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) to develop a fantastic, new set of primary resources themed around the Olympics.
The Olympic Resource for Languages introduces students to the Olympics, uncovering the Olympic symbols whilst preparing them for a school-based Olympic celebration held in the language they are learning. The celebrations will take place on Olympic Day - Friday 20 June 2008.
The resource includes five LOTE (Languages Other Then English) lessons available in nine languages: Arabic, Chinese, Croatian, French, German, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese and Spanish. A detailed teacher guide is included as well as a document outlining the Victorian curriculum links for VELS level 4.
