Editor’s note: We are trialling a new format for the newsletter, based on feedback from members, including a previous survey. This new format simplifies the newsletter, providing the information you want in links. It should hopefully be easier to access the information you want. You will see in this edition the inclusion of advertisements from our valued corporate members. Each advertisement is hyperlinked and when clicked you will be directed to the company website.
Please direct feedback to the JLTAV Committee. |

6. Regional support proposal
The JLTAV is considering the launch of a new initiative to grant funding to regional networks of Japanese languages teachers around Victoria. This will allow those regional networks to host their own professional development for teachers, language and culture events and competitions for students and can grant travel and accommodation costs for members.
We have put together a proposal, available online here. If this idea interests you, please read through it and send any feedback to the JLTAV Committee. |

7. VCE SAC support information
The JLTAV is considering a new project for the JLTAV to support VCE teachers in the creation of high-quality SACs for Units 3 and 4. We need native Japanese speakers and experienced VCE teachers to help in the creation of these SACs, for checking reading SACs, and checking and recording listening SACs.
If you are interested in helping out with the service or finding out more, please fill in the form here. |
