  2. Fri 20/4 & Sat 21/4 2018 JLTAV Annual Conference (held at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre) (see item 6 in this newsletter)

4. Past event reports

On the Events page of our website, you can now see all past events back to the start of 2016. This will continue to be updated with new event reports as they are made.

For this edition, event reports have been added to the following event:

5. New services section of JLTAV website
The Services page of the JLTAV website contains three items:

  • Past year 12 practice exams available for order
  • The Regional Support Scheme, providing funding to support Japanese teachers to hold events in regional Victoria

Furthermore, we are currently preparing to implement JLTAV Listening Task Recording Service
The JLTAV would like to commence a listening task recording service to support VCE teachers record listening tasks with native speaker voices. If you are interested in supporting this initiative, please complete the form here. Further details of this service will be communicated to members when a bank of teachers has been created.

6. 2018 Annual Conference & Annual General Meeting
The 2018 Annual Conference will be held on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st April, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. More details, and an application form, will be on our website soon and announced on Nihongo Victoria, and our Facebook page, Twitter feed and our website.
Before our conference, don’t forget to have your students enter the Conference Book Cover Competition.
The Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Friday 20th April at 4:30pm. The previous AGM’s minutes are approved, we have reports from the President and Treasurer, and nominate new Committee members. Interested teachers are invited to join the Committee if they wish to contribute to our work.

7. JLTAV Certificate of Merit award information

The JLTAV is now holding a Certificate of Merit award.

Membership registration for 2018 is now open.
