ICT Professional Learning

Event Report

On Wednesdays throughout Term 3, we offered ICT Professional Learning Sessions to colleagues. Each session ran for an hour, with the presenter talking for half an hour, and then the participants staying online for the second half, trialling the different digital tool and asking questions if they needed to. The sessions focused on the following:

  • Blooket
  • Classkick
  • Gimkit
  • Google Classroom
  • PowerPoint
  • Seesaw
  • Wordwall

Many thanks to our presenters who generously shared their wealth of ICT knowledge with us: Jan Chalmer, Jessica Curtis, Kathleen Duquemin and Andrew Truong. We had 53 teachers register for the different sessions. The feedback from participants was positive. Participants said:

  • I liked being able to apply the skills while the presenter was available to answer questions.
  • It was great to have time to implement what I learned from the session.
  • Thank you for offering the sessions and motivating us during this challenging year.
  • These sessions were really useful during remote learning. They were very collaborative and I really enjoyed them. It was also great chatting with other teachers and exchanging ideas.

We look forward to offering more ICT Professional Learning in the future.
